This is turning in to quite an event and the entry forms are coming in thick and fast. We have 27 teams so far and need five more so if you’ve been thinking about it but haven’t yet got round to it, now’s the time to get yourselves into gear. The tournament takes place at Clifton College Sports Ground on Sunday 27th July from 2pm and it’s your chance to show off your killer through balls in front of all your colleagues.

Between now and then you’ll need to practice your dribbling, body swerves, diving headers and juggling – believe me this gets serious. Remember the words of Big Ron: “it’s all about the two Ms – movement and positioning”! Oh and some teams are designing their own tee shirts and I hear several teams are using secret locations across Bristol for twice weekly training sessions. The coveted trophies and medals are being designed for the winners of the tournament as we speak.

Thanks for our friends at Riot Events (who organise the match experience for Bristol Rubgy) and the Bristol Music Foundation, there will be a live acoustic music tent, a barbecue and bar, ice cream, face painting, a dribble challenge, spot the ball competition and visits from Brizzley Bear and Scrumpy the Robin so we’re hoping you will bring all your friends, family, WAGS and colleagues to support you throughout the day. The entry fee this year is £75 which includes refreshment for everyone in your team. If you would like to enter a team please email caroline@bristolmedia.co.uk as soon as possible.

Entry to the ground for supporters will be £2 and 50p for juniors and everyone is welcome!
