The BBC New Music Shorts scheme is now open for submissions and the BBC Electric Proms want your submissions before the closing date of Monday 7 July.

The initiative is challenging filmmakers to make original new films that use and are inspired by new music tracks. The idea must be narrative driven but could be a music promo, a short drama or even a documentary.

Winners will get to work with Warp Films and up to £5,000 to make your film, which will be premiered at the BBC Electric Proms in October.

Record label partners have provided tracks from their latest releases by XX Teens (Mute Records), Wild Beasts (Domino), and Roots Manuva (Ninja Tune/Big Dada).
