Wildscreen Finalists Announced
The Nomination Panel made up of thirteen judges from nine countries met for a week in Bristol during May. Representing a wide range of industry skills and backgrounds, they all watched the 440 film entries from 43 countries, with Specialist Judges being brought in to advise the panel on the Children’s Choice, Editing, Earth Sciences and New Media categories.
Separate specialist judging panels were assembled for the New Media, Theatrical and Children’s Choice Awards (the latter comprising school children in both Bristol and Zimbabwe).
Sixty two films will go forward to the final jury just before the Festival in October. See the full list of finalists here.
Delegate registration for the Festival is now open – book before Friday 11 July to receive the early bird discount and save £135 off the full delegate rate. The delegate rate does not include tickets to the Panda Awards’ ceremony which are sold separately and cost £55. Register here.
