Since launching in 2000, HSBC Start-Up Stars has rapidly become one of the UK’s most prestigious annual small business awards, backed by Sky News and the Daily Express. As well as offering cash prizes for the top few there are rewards for all who take up the challenge.
Provided your business is less than three years old, regardless of its size, you can enter the HSBC Start-Up Stars Awards. Entrants from every business sector are welcomed. And, you don’t have to bank with HSBC to be able to enter.
They are looking for start-ups with determination and dedication, that have the creativity and business acumen to succeed. We want to know how you started your own business, how you got it off the ground, who helped you, and what you’ve got planned for the future.
If you win HSBC Start-Up Stars 2008, you’ll receive the top prize of £50,000. There are also rewards for runners-up and regional winners. And they are offering the special Green Award, with a £5,000 prize, for young businesses that show they’re dedicated to addressing environment issues.
As a carbon-neutral organisation, HSBC is pleased to encourage businesses to be greener – with the HSBC Start-Up Stars Green Award. This award recognises companies that are committed to preserving our environment and protecting our future. The winner will gain national recognition for ethical practice plus a £5,000 cash prize.
