375 win Bristol Zoo Garden's advertising campaign in 2008
Bristol based creative agency 375 is celebrating an exciting new win to deliver Bristol Zoo Gardens’ 2008 advertising campaign, beating off two other agencies in a three way pitch.
The successful pitch was supported by an expert panel of 10 year olds from Ashton Gate Primary School. Pupils from Class 5FT were asked to describe what would persuade them to visit Bristol Zoo; their responses included opportunities to feed the animals and more animals shows. However, they were also keen to get across that they didn’t want to see the animals exploited in any way and that they were very aware of environmental issues.
The class have also been commissioned to appear in the ‘Animals in Your City’ campaign, art directed by 375’s Paul Thomas and shot by award winning photographer Ashley Cameron, at various landmark locations across Bristol. The primarily outdoor advertising will be shown across the South West and Wales from March and throughout the summer.
Heather Holve, Head of PR and Marketing at Bristol Zoo Gardens said: “we were exceptionally impressed by the insight and creative thinking 375 put behind their persuasive pitch. We’re really enjoying working with 375 to create a truly eye catching campaign for Bristol Zoo".
This is one of a host of high profile projects for 375 which also include the redesign of ARKive, a virtual conservation website being launched by Sir David Attenborough in April, and the design of science centre At-Bristol’s £1.5 million funded Inside DNA exhibition.
Harvey Whitehead, Managing Director said “2008 is an exciting year for 375. Having the opportunity to develop insightful and creative campaigns, which engage with the public, is why we have evolved. Our aim is not just to deliver pretty pictures but to challenge the way people think ".
