NLarge Photography Exhibition at KWMC

‘NLarge Photography’ a group of young people from the Knowle West Media Centre, are set to reveal their brand new photography exhibition, ‘My Space’ on Tuesday, 25th November 2008.
‘My Space’ is a young person led photography exhibition, which explores the group’s personal space, their individuality and their own personal style. The young people have produced photograph’s that include their friend’s, family and objects from their personal space to include in the exhibition. The exhibition will also see the launch of their brand new website, www.nlargephotography.co.uk, which showcases just some of their work from the last four years, which was funded by the DCSF funded project MediaBox. This exhibition comes straight after Young Enterprise week, and highlights the talent of young people.
NLarge Photography meet weekly at the Knowle West Media Centre, taking real commissions from both the corporate and public sector which funds the groups activities and allows for professional photographers to work alongside to teach them. Nlarge started in 2003 and the group, who come from all over South Bristol, meet every Tuesday evening from 6-8pm. The young people involved are aged between 14-17 and love coming to Nlarge, the group is working towards becoming a sustainable enterprise led by the young people. “We really enjoy Nlarge as it's brought together a mixture of characters. We enjoy taking photographs of people and weird, but wonderful objects.” Carla & Stevie - member of Nlarge said “The exhibition will be a great success as we've all worked so hard to produce photographs and meaningful spaces' within the exhibition. We have more freedom to approach projects in the way we want too as well.” Keeley - member of Nlarge.
The exhibition will launch on Tuesday 25 November 2008, from 6pm – 8pm at Knowle West Media entre, Leinster Avenue, Knowle West, Bristol, BS4 1NL.
