Cornwall Film Festival 2008

The 7th Cornwall Film Festival which runs from 6th to 9th November promises something for everyone. The packed programme includes some of the best up and coming Cornish talent as well as a top selection of international films, professional development workshops, talks and sure to be legendary parties.
South West feature premieres include Blindness, directed by Fernando Meirelles (City of God, The Constant Gardner) with an introduction by executive producer Simon Channing-Williams, Terence Davies’ Of Time and the City which will be introduced by Mark Kermode (BBC 2’s The Culture Show) and Hush introduced by writer/director Mark Tonderai and producer Zoe Stewart.

The Festival’s eagerly anticipated and much hyped (it won’t disappoint) board sports film event Board Shorts, in association with Sharps Doom Bar, returns to the Sandsifter Bar in Gwithian on Saturday 8th November. The must see screenings will be followed by what promises to be a lively party with music from Mark Kermode’s skiffle band The Dodge Brothers and local DJs Sir Vinyl of the Fattest throwing some top tunes out to the dancefloor.
