First Bristol Media Portfolio Night a huge success

Our first Portfolio Night was heralded a huge success by both Creative Directors and Designers who met at Cafe at Bristol last Thursday in a speed networking event. Twenty freelance designers, illustrators and photographers had the opportunity to show their portfolio to some of the city’s top Creative Directors from Bray Leino, True Digital, Rubberductions, Beef, Ignition DC, Oakwood, Open Communication Design, E3, Enable Interactive, Dirty Design, McCann Erickson, Taxi, Mason Zimbler, Wildfire, Aardman Online, Proctor and Stevenson, McFaul and Hyperlaunch.
Karen Lewis, a designer who attended the event said: “Thank you for the opportunity to show my portfolio to such a fantastic selection of Bristol’s leading creative directors. I had a really fantastic night and have been really enthused by all the constructive feedback I received about my work. It was great to make so many contacts and has really motivated me to pursue a career in design more actively”.
Charlotte Hockey, Creative Director at Dirty Design said: “It was a really great evening and a very novel way for Bristol’s creatives to meet on an informal level. It’s not just a fantastic way to find new talent but hopefully my feedback was helpful to the designers who are just starting out. I will definitely be at the next event.”
