Congratulations go to Bristol based production company Available Light who won the prize for the most entertaining documentary at this year’s British Documentary Awards.

During a star-studded night at Savoy Place in central London, “Ray Gosling OAP” beat off tough competition from Alan Sugar’s “The Apprentice” to collect the Jonathan Gili Award For Most Entertaining Documentary from the prestigious Grierson Trust. The documentary is the final part of a trilogy of films following the life and times of broadcaster Ray Gosling. Amanda Reilly and David Parker’s film follows Ray as he sells up and settles his debts, capturing his relief, regret and anxiety about the future.
