The Bristol Community and Festival Fund is for Bristol–based community groups, organisations, companies and charities who are organising existing, or emerging cultural festivals & events in Bristol from April 2008 – March 2009. The fund supports community celebration that engages communities and enhances local image and identity. The fund seeks to provide additional financial support to the overall costs of the event.

Individual funds will be awarded up to a maximum of £2,000 per festival/event and the application deadline for 2008-09 is 4.00pm Friday 22nd February 2008.

The Fund’s Objectives are:

To support festivals and events that are of benefit to Bristol people and creatives.
To support community celebration through festivals and events that engage communities and enhance local image and identity through the arts.
To encourage good practice in supporting and developing creativity.
To develop new audiences for, and encourage participation in arts/culture.
To improve access to and quality of arts/cultural festivals and events.
