Media Tuesday and Brunel's ss Great Britain
Brunel’s ss Great Britain is the world’s first great ocean liner. Launched in 1843 to provide luxury travel to New York, the iron-hulled steamship revolutionised travel and set new standards in engineering, reliability and speed. Today Brunel’s ss Great Britain, is the centre of a stunning all-weather multi award-winning visitor attraction and we are delighted to announce that our next networking event, Media Tuesday on 24th June will be held on board.
There will be a bar on the Promenade deck and if we are lucky with the weather we can sip drinks on deck. There will also be an opportunity to tour the ship to see what makes her Large Vsitor Attraction of the Year 2007 and there will be information on hand about the proposed Brunel Academy to be built on the dockside.
The event will run from 6.15pm – 8.30pm as usual and so that we can cater for the right numbers you will need to put your name on the guest list so please email "Bronwen Rolls ":mailto://bronwenr@ssgreatbritain.org to say you’d like to attend.
