This is a networking event to facilitate the finding of potential partners in time to respond to the Technology Strategy Board’s (TSB) Call for R&D Proposals in the Creative Industries Sector – where a £10m fund is available. The event is hosted by South East Media Network (SEMN) and Tiga, the independent games developers association.
The event will be an informal speed dating / networking opportunity for companies from across the sector – including games, film, digital media, technology and academia – to meet each other with the view of identifying potential partners. These partnerships may comprise of companies collaborating together to undertake R&D, or companies and universities. If you have a research project with clear commercial possibilities that you are currently unable to pursue – perhaps due to a lack of funding, timing or you would like to meet some technology companies who could exploit your content (or vice versa!) – then this might be the right opportunity for you.
The event takes place from 2.00-6.00pm (refreshments included) on Wednesday 12th March at 58 Prince’s Gate, Imperial College, (Building 24 on Exhibition Road), London (nearest tube is South Kensington).
If you are interested in attending this event because you are looking for potential partners and wish to respond to the Technology Strategy Board’s call, please take a look at the website http://www.southeastmedianetwork.co.uk/news/article.html?id=134 for the criteria
or email clare.maddalena@tiga.org for further information.
