MeiGeist - best ARG of 2007

MeiGeist, an Alternate Reality Game created by Hazel Grian and Jon Williams of Bristol-based Licorice Film, was named as the one of the most outstanding ARGs of 2007 by players and critics, along with World Without Oil and The Lost Experience and Year Zero, the last two being huge Alternate Reality Games with million dollar budgets. US-based ARG producers commented “MeiGeist was pretty amazing” (Marie Lamb of World Without Oil), “MeiGeist came out of nowhere. It was so well done, definitely a nice surprise for the year.” (Brooke Thompson). Congratulations Hazel and Jon of Licorice Film, who created it.

MeiGeist was the first publicly funded ARG and was supported by HP Labs, Arts Council England, South West Screen, Watershed and The University of the West of England.
