Montage and Bivouac in New Media link-up
Bristol’s award-winning Montage Communications agency has teamed up with Bivouac Productions, also Bristol, to launch a range of broadcast quality New Media services.
The aim of the joint venture is to bring broadcast quality to Montage’s online communication campaigns, for businesses and charities as part of an expansion of its services, to include PR-managed blogs as well as video and audio podcasts.
Commercial Director, Matt Anderson said: “We’re delighted to have set up this partnership with Bivouac Productions. Online media is revolutionising the way traditional communication campaigns are devised and implemented; new media has a synergy that greatly increases the effectiveness of traditional media campaigns. It’s cost-effective, too – one video or audio podcast can be viewed or listened to by millions on the Internet, time and again, for a one-off production cost.”
Bivouac’s track record includes producing high quality films for both British and international broadcasters, and for charitable and corporate organisations. Its most recent accolade is a Deutsche Fernsehpreis, Germany’s equivalent of a BAFTA, for ‘Shooting Under Fire’, a feature-length observational documentary about the lives of Reuters photographers in Israel and the West Bank.
Director Sacha Mirzeoff, said: “We’re really looking forward to working with Montage Communications. New media offers great opportunities and is revolutionising the media industry. Our filming pushes the boundaries of programme-making and finds innovative ways of presenting difficult and complex subjects. We are excited about the creative work we’ll be doing with Montage.”
Ex-Star FM Managing Director, Dev Chakraborty, now Commercial Sales Director at Montage, has facilitated the setting up of the new podcasting services for which Montage manages the strategic direction, with key messages, briefing and scripts, and then oversees the production of the podcasts by a team with over 20 years’ experience in national radio and audio production.
Recent Montage podcast projects include Bristol’s first Entrepreneurs’ Question Time, which was organised by the Bristol Enterprise Network, and recorded by Montage and turned into a podcast of all the key discussions to ensure that business leaders throughout the globe could access the lively debate online.
Montage’s range of clients includes B&Q, Starbucks, South West Ventures Fund, National Lottery, West Country Crimestoppers, Prestoplan, Solicitors Own Software and Bristol Enterprise Network. To view case studies please see Montage video
