_Broadcast _magazine’s 2007 digital channel award for outstanding individual achievement has been awarded to Dick Emery, the former chief executive of UKTV and, now, chairman of the Bristol-based trust that runs the Wildscreen international film festival and ARKive, the free-to-view digital library of film and photo fact files of endangered species.

Wildscreen’s boss Harriet Nimmo says: " The Broadcast award is a much deserved acknowledgement of a long and hugely distinguished career in many different areas of broadcasting. We’re delighted for Dick, and for the reminder of how blessed Wildscreen is to be able to call on his immense knowledge and wisdom, to the great benefit of the wildlife film and television industry in Bristol, and beyond, and to global conservation".

The award for Dick Emery was announced at the _Broadcast _Channel Awards 2007, at which ITV2 was named best digital channel.
